Barcelona midfielder Xavi has once again reiterated his desire for Cesc Fabregas to move to the club.
Fabregas has long been linked with a move to the Catalan giants although Arsenal have already snubbed one offer for the Spain midfielder.
The 23-year-old was snapped up by the Gunners while he was a youth player at Barca, but is widely thought to have a burning desire to return to his old club.
And Xavi, who is currently with Fabregas and the Spain squad as they prepare for the World Cup, believes a deal will be done this summer.
"He (Fabregas) wants to come here and is talking to the club about that," Xavi said.
"I have always said that he has the Barca DNA and he should be confident there will be a solution soon.
"He should play for Barca and it has to be now.
"If it's not now, it will be a little later, but I hope Cesc can come to Barcelona as soon as possible.
"He is hopeful and he wants to come to Barca, but he is calm and focused on the World Cup, hoping there will be a solution."
Barcelona clinched another Primera Liga title last season although they were knocked out of the UEFA Champions League semi-finals by Inter Milan.
They did beat Arsenal in the quarter-finals of the competition though, and that was ironically Fabregas' last game for the North London outfit after suffering an injury.
Inter went on to win the Champions League, but former manager Jose Mourinho has now taken the reins at Real Madrid.
Xavi is not concerned by the arrival of Mourinho at Barca's arch rivals, and he still believes the Nou Camp side will triumph in the league next term.
"It's an extra motivation," he added.
"Madrid are doing everything possible to win titles again and for us it's an added motivation.
"Last year they put together a great team and we were able to beat that team.
"Now, with that great coach, we will try to beat them again."
