Borussia Dortmund have secured the signing of Polish international striker Robert Lewandowski.

Highly-rated striker off to Germany

Borussia Dortmund have secured the signing of Polish international striker Robert Lewandowski from Lech Poznan. The 21-year-old, whose goalscoring exploits for his club made him the subject of interest from clubs in England, Italy and Germany, has signed for Dortmund for a fee believed to be around 4million euros. Despite agreeing terms and passing a medical with Dortmund in May, Lewandowski, who finished top scorer in the Polish league last season, was refused a move to Signal Iduna Park by Poznan as they reject their initial bid. However negotiations over the fee for the player have been settled, allowing Lewandowski to make the move to the club in July having signed a four-year-deal. "We are pleased that Robert will be playing in our attack next season," Dortmund's director of sport Michael Zorc told the club's official website. "We are glad that, after hard but fair negotiations, we were able to reach an agreement."
