Sochaux striker Cedric Bakambu has claimed he will have the choice of joining either Swansea City or Freiburg with offers from both clubs on the table.

The 23-year-old has also reportedly attracted interest from Reims, Lorient and Crystal Palace, and is expected to leave Stade Auguste Bonal before the summer transfer window closes.

Bakambu scored seven goals in 31 top-flight appearances last term, though it was not enough to save Sochaux from relegation.

Reports suggest Bakambu has already turned down an offer from Belgian side Standard Liege but the former France Under 21 international insists a decision on his future is imminent.

I have offers, notably from Fribourg in Germany and in England from Swansea. I am hesitating between the two.

“I have offers, notably from Freiburg in Germany and in England from Swansea. I am hesitating between the two,” he told France Football.

“Reims and Lorient, I heard they were interested, but they did not contact me. Maybe they contacted Sochaux, but I don’t know about that.

“I am giving myself two to three days to decide, no more. I know that at Swansea I might not be first-choice striker. There are several things to consider, not just the prestige of the club.

“But I am flattered. I’m at an age where I need to play. Crystal Palace are also interested, I think it will be between those three (Swansea, Crystal Palace and Freiburg).”
