Bristol City announced that they have taken St Patrick's Athletic winger Chris Forrester on trial.
Forrester has joined the Robins' first-team squad for training after being invited over from the League of Ireland club for a two-week stay. The Republic of Ireland Under-21 international is expected to play for City in an FA Under-21 Development League Cup tie against Peterborough at Ashton Gate on Thursday afternoon. Forrester has recently helped St Patrick's Athletic reach the qualifying phase of next season's Champions League having clinched the League of Ireland title. The 20-year-old was the division's highest-scoring midfielder with nine goals.
