Feyenoord midfielder Jordy Clasie's agent has claimed that Fiorentina are one of the clubs chasing the signature of the 21-year old.
Clasie has been labelled the "Dutch Xavi" by sections of the press in Holland and he has made five appearances for the national team since making his full debut last year.
And his agent, Wessel Weezenberg, says that Fiorentina have been in touch regarding signing the Dutch international.
"We talked and we're still talking with Fiorentina and I can say they are the Italian club that has moved more concretely," he said to Calcio Mercato.
"But Jordy has a contract with Feyenoord so Fiorentina need to reach an agreement with them. I know that the two clubs have spoken, but the Dutch leadership decided to postpone any market discussion at the end of the season.
"The Fiorentina project is very interesting, with a game style that would be ideal for Clasie's technical characteristics that, for example, are very similar to the (David) Pizarro ones.
"The renewal with Feyenoord? At the moment we're not talking about it," he added.
