Sunny dreams of English move

Numancia midfielder Stephen Sunny admits it is his dream to move to England this summer.

Palace & Leeds keen on Nigerian midfielder

Numancia midfielder Stephen Sunny admits it is his dream to move to England this summer. Sunny's contract at Numancia expires at the end of the season and he could leave the Segunda Liga side on a free transfer. The news of Sunny's availability on a free transfer has alerted a number of clubs across Europe, who are weighing up moves for the Nigerian's signature. Championship duo Crystal Palace and Leeds United are both thought to be monitoring the defensive midfielder's situation as they look to bolster their squads for next season. The 24-year-old admits his agent is talking to interested clubs, but he will wait until the end of the season before making a decision on his future. "I am out of contract at the end of the season and I know my agent is talking to other clubs and there are offers on the table," Sunny told Sky Sports. "Presently I still have a contract with Numancia and my focus is ending the season well with them and making sure they are secure in the league. "It is very important to end the season and I will make a decision on my future when the season is over." Sunny has come close to moves to England in the past after attracting interest from Portsmouth and Blackpool, but the transfers failed to materialise. However, he hopes his dream will finally be realised this summer if he receives the right offer. "Of course it is a dream to come and play in England," added Sunny. "I came close to joining Portsmouth and Blackpool before but it did not happen for different circumstances. "I am eager to see what offers come my way and it depends on the teams, but like any other player I would love the chance to play in England."
