Anzhi Makhachkala have completed the loan signing of Bosnia international defender Emir Spahic from Sevilla for the remainder of the season.
The Primera Division side revealed on Tuesday that the centre-back was travelling to Moscow for talks with the Russian club over a proposed transfer.
And Spahic has now sealed his switch to the big-spending side, who have the option to make the move permanent at the end of the current campaign.
The 32-year-old, who has previous experience of Russian football from spells with Lokomotiv and Torpedo Moscow, has been brought in to replace Chris Samba, who moved to QPR in January.
A statement on Anzhi's official website read: "After the season Anzhi have an option to buy the player."
The transfer window in Russia is open until midnight on Wednesday, but Spahic will not be eligible to play in Anzhi's Europa League last-16 tie against Newcastle United next month.
