Sky Sports understands Crewe are bracing themselves for bids for midfield star Luke Murphy.
The 23-year-old, who has come through the famed Crewe academy, is tipped to be the latest Gresty Road product to make a name for himself at the highest level.
The classy midfielder has been a stand-out performer for Crewe this season in League One, chipping in with four goals in 23 appearances.
Representatives from several Premier League and Championship clubs are thought to have watched him in action in the midweek draw with Sheffield United.
Murphy's suitors are now weighing up moves for the playmaker when the transfer window reopens in January as Crewe look to fend off interest in the player.
