Sercan Sararer has failed to agree a new contract with Greuther Furth and will leave the club at the end of the season, according to his agent.
Talks have broken down between Greuther, who were promoted to the Bundesliga for the start of this season, and the Turkey international.
And Sararer's representative, Fritz Popp, does not think there will be any resurrection of discussions before his client's contract expires next summer.
Popp told Bild: "Talks regarding a new deal are put on hold, I can confirm.
"Actually it does not look like he (Sararer) will be able to agree on terms with the club.
"But it is a fact Sercan will respect his contract and see out his deal."
