Dickov looks to keep loan duo

Oldham boss Paul Dickov hopes to secure extended service from loan duo Matt Derbyshire and Reece Wabara in the coming days.

Nottingham Forest striker Derbyshire and Manchester City defender Wabara have both impressed since moving to Boundary Park last month. Now Dickov is looking to rubber-stamp loan extensions for the pair. Asked if he would be making more signings in the near future, the Scot said: "I would doubt it very much. The main aim at the moment is to try and keep the ones that are here, especially Reece and Matt Derbyshire - try and get them sorted out in the next week or so and we're confident we can do that. "Without actually speaking to Forest myself, when we signed Matt it was with a view to extending it. Matt's delighted to be here, he's really enjoying his football. "With Reece and Matt it really does come down to the parent clubs. I'm sitting down with Manchester City on Friday to try and get something sorted out with Reece as well."
