Hartlepool United have brought in Sunderland striker Craig Lynch on a one-month loan deal to boost their attacking options.
The League One club have struggled in front of goal so far this season and have scored in only one of their four matches in all competitions.
Sunderland have been a fruitful source of loan signings for Pools in recent years and Lynch is the latest to make the short move.
The 20-year-old has made two substitute appearances for the Black Cats, featuring in home defeats by Fulham and Wolves towards the end of the 2010/11 season.
Lynch was signed in time to be available for Hartlepool's game against Carlisle United on Saturday afternoon.
