Pompey land Gyepes signature

Gyepes: Heading to Pompey

Portsmouth have signed Hungarian defender Gabor Gyepes on a one-month deal, subject to international clearance.

The former Cardiff and Wolves centre-back, who was a free agent and trained with Pompey at the end of last season, joins on a one-month deal.

Manager Michael Appleton told the club's official website: "He's played for a few clubs in England before so knows what to expect and we're pleased to be able to add him to our squad.

"We have got a couple of young centre-backs in Kevin Long and Josh Thompson, so Gabor adds a bit of experience in that area."

The 31-year-old will wear the number 16 shirt.
