Manchester City have confirmed the arrival of highly-rated defender Matija Nastasic from Fiorentina, with Stefan Savic moving in the other direction.
It emerged earlier in the week that the two clubs had agreed an undisclosed fee, reported to be in the region of £12million, for Nastasic.
The Serbian centre-back has been tipped to emulate the success of countryman Nemanja Vidic in the future, having impressed in Serie A last season.
He made 21 starts for Fiorentina during the 2011/12 campaign and will now be looking to continue his development at the Etihad Stadium.
The signing of Nastasic, 19, will provide Roberto Mancini with a welcome option at the back after Savic struggled to settle in English football.
Savic only joined the club last summer and will hope a switch to Italy resurrects his career.
