Highly-rated teenager set to move to Loftus Road

Queens Park Rangers hectic final days of the transfer window are continuing as Sky Sports sources understand Portsmouth teenager Sam Magri is undergoing a medical with the club. The 18-year-old is a highly-rated prospect and has in the past been linked with Liverpool and last February he underwent a trial on Merseyside. But QPR are the Premier League club who are pressing ahead with the signing of Magri and he is having his necessary physical assessments before potentially completing his move. The defender is a Portsmouth Academy product and last season was a member of several first-team squads. Magri earlier this August made his first-team debut in Pompey's 3-0 Capital One Cup defeat by Plymouth Argyle. Robert Green, Andrew Johnson, Samba Diakite, Fabio, Ryan Nelsen, Park Ji-sung, Junior Hoilett and Jose Bosingwa have this summer already arrived at QPR. Julio Cesar, who is awaiting international clearance, Danish defender Simon Kjaer, Marseille midfielder Stephane Mbia and Real Madrid pair Ricardo Carvalho and Esteban Granero could also be signed before Friday.
