Sky Sports understands that Burnley are eyeing a move for Bristol City striker Brett Pitman.
Pitman has spent the past couple of years at Ashton Gate but could be allowed to leave before Friday's transfer deadline as the Robins have strengthened their attacking options this summer.
Sam Baldock and Steve Davies are both recent arrivals and Pitman now looks set to head out to Championship rivals Burnley.
The Clarets have lost Danny Ings and Martin Paterson to injury and are thought to be keen on getting another forward in this week.
Eddie Howe's men won their opening Championship match of the season but have since lost two in a row.
