Sky Sports understands Blackburn Rovers are set to revive their interest in Huddersfield Town striker Jordan Rhodes.
The 22-year-old Scottish international is one of the hottest properties outside the Premier League, but Huddersfield had been standing firm on their desire to keep him.
Blackburn have been tracking him for most of the summer and had looked to have given up on luring him to Ewood Park.
However, Sky Sports now understands Blackburn have made one final push to land Rhodes and it understood the offer will be hugely significant.
Blackburn want their man in place by Friday and they appear confident this final offer could be enough to land their man.
At the weekend, Huddersfield boss Simon Grayson had suggested it would take an offer in the region of £8million to land Rhodes.
