Burnley manager Eddie Howe is optimistic that he will be able to sign a player on loan before the transfer window slams shut.
Howe is happy with his squad but feels he still needs to bring in somebody else and has lined up a loan deal.
While there is work still to be done to finalise a move, Howe hopes there will be no late complications.
"I'm hopeful to do a loan and we'll wait and see who that is," he told the club's official website.
"These things are never done until they are done because you have to identify the player and get him in on the right terms, but fingers crossed we can do that."
Howe may be looking to bolster his attacking options after injuries to Danny Ings and Martin Paterson left him with just two fit strikers.
