Bristol Rovers are awaiting international clearance having agreed the signing of versatile winger Fabian Broghammer.
The 22-year-old German has penned a one-year deal with the Pirates which includes the option of a further 12 months, and the formalities are soon expected to be completed.
Broghammer has been on trial with Rovers after he was recommended to manager Mark McGhee by his former Hamburg team-mate and current Wolfsburg manager Felix Magath.
Broghammer told Rovers' official website: "I've always dreamt a little bit about playing in England, but I never thought it would happen. Then my agent called to ask if I would like to play over here and I'm really glad I came."
