Adem Ljajic has insisted he wants to stay at Fiorentina amid constant rumours over his future at the club.
The Serbian midfielder has been linked with a number of clubs following an incident with former coach Delio Rossi, when he was punched by his manager for sarcastically applauding when he was substituted.
Rossi was immediately sacked by the club, whilst Ljajic was punished for his actions but remained with the Viola.
And the 20-year-old now says he wants to put the incident behind him and focus on playing well for the club.
Past
He said: "What happened with Delio Rossi is a bad thing but it is in the past. I don't want to talk about it anymore, just think about the future.
"This season is very important for me and I want to play it in the Fiorentina shirt."
The Florence side have already added 11 players to their squad as they look to improve on their 13th place finish last season.
Ljajic continued: "The championship is very important for the whole team and the new players are all very strong and will help us."
As for Chelsea target Stevan Jovetic, Ljajic added: "I think and hope that eventually he will remain here."
