Hull City manager Steve Bruce is planning to give midfielder Mark Fotheringham another opportunity to win a contract at the KC Stadium.
Fotheringham is currently training with the Tigers and featured in the club's 3-1 defeat by Doncaster Rovers in a pre-season friendly on Tuesday night.
Bruce was satisfied with the former Celtic and Norwich player's performance and will continue to assess Fotheringham over the next few days.
"Mark came in and did well," said Bruce in the Hull Daily Mail.
"He is looking for a club and we'll take a look at him this week, possibly again at Hartlepool this weekend."
Fotheringham spent time training with Bundesliga club Hoffenheim last month and he was linked with a move to Wolves during the January transfer window.
