Potts set to leave Minstermen

Potts: Made available for transfer

York midfielder Michael Potts has been placed on the transfer list by manager Gary Mills ahead of the upcoming season.

Potts still has a year to run on his Bootham Crescent contract but, after arriving from Blackburn last summer, managed just three starts in 2011/12 and 10 further substitute appearances.

The 20-year-old has not joined the Minstermen for their Rutland training camp and does not appear to be in Mills' plans for the newly-promoted side.

York have not received any offers for the player yet, as confirmed by Mills who told The Press: "Michael Potts has not travelled with us to Rutland and has been told that his name is being circulated to try to find him another club but we've heard nothing so far."
