Sky Sports understands a host of Championship clubs are lining up a bid for Southend winger Ryan Hall.
The former Crystal Palace winger performed exceptionally last season, returning 14 goals and 25 assists in all competitions, and his assist return was the highest by any player in all leagues in England.
Nottingham Forest manager Sean O'Driscoll is one known admirer and was keen to make a move for the player while he was in charge of Crawley.
It is thought there are a couple League One clubs also considering a bid for Hall, but with the amount of interest in the Championship it seems that is his likely destination.
Hall has one year left on his current deal at Roots Hall after the club took up an option at the end of last season.
