Di Canio keen to add one more

Di Canio: Wants one more player

Swindon manager Paolo Di Canio has set his sights on at least one new signing to boost his squad ahead of the start of the season.

He told the club's official website: "There is no update on the transfer situation although we are still working. I don't want to make any mistakes. One will come in, perhaps two."

The Robins continued their pre-season preparation with a 4-0 defeat of Forest Green and Di Canio insists he can take plenty of positives from his team's performance.

"We scored some quality goals and some intelligent ones too. The defensive line played better on and off the ball and we looked comfortable in the middle of the field.

"We are making good progress and that pleases me. There were a lot of positives from the game and we have continued to build through-out pre-season.

"[Gary] Roberts played well and scored and it was a good finish technically. He has the desire and did well. We have competition for places across the pitch but we have made progress again."
