French striker admits summer switch could happen

Loic Remy claims to be committed to Marseille, but admits there is still 'plenty of time' for something to happen during the summer transfer window. Latest reports suggest the France international is being targeted by Arsenal. The Gunners appear set to part with Robin van Persie and will require an attacking replacement if the Dutchman moves on. Remy is understood to figure prominently on Arsene Wenger's wish list, but Newcastle and Tottenham have also been strongly linked with the 25-year-old in the recent past. The Marseille striker has grown accustomed to transfer rumours in recent times and is reluctant to be drawn into a debate regarding his future.

Contract

He is, however, prepared to admit that he cannot say for certain where he will be playing in 2012/13. "I have a contract with Marseille but if the club wants to sell you, there is nothing you can do about that," said Remy. "The window closes on 31st August, so we have plenty of time." Marseille are keen to move players on, freeing up funds to draft in fresh faces, but it is unclear whether Remy is among those they are prepared to part with.
