Former Huddersfield defender finds new club
Sky Sports understands Leyton Orient are set to sign former Huddersfield Town defender Nathan Clarke on a free transfer.
Clarke ended a long spell at Huddersfield earlier in the summer after making 300 appearances during his career at the Galpharm Stadium.
He had not featured for the Terriers since January 2011, though, and spent last season on loan with Oldham Athletic and then Bury.
The Shakers had been linked with a permanent move for the 28-year-old and Scunthorpe United were also mooted as admirers of Clarke.
However, it is understood that League One rivals Orient have won the race for the centre-half and he is expected to sign a two-year contract.
