Accrington midfielder Charlie Barnett has signed a new one-year contract ahead of the upcoming season.
The 23-year-old, who joined from Tranmere in the summer of 2010, has made 85 appearances for the Reds and scored three goals. Barnett has now committed to a third season with Stanley as manager Paul Cook continues to build his squad for the 2012/13 campaign. "The gaffer has signed a few players nice and early and got a good squad together working hard in pre-season," said Barnett. "I'm sure there will be more signings as we get towards the first game. "Personally I'm just looking to cement my place in the pre-season games and kick on from there."
