Milan will try to keep Brazilian defender - finances permitting

AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has admitted that Paris St Germain coach Carlo Ancelotti has enquired about Thiago Silva. Silva is regarded as one of the finest defenders in the world and the 27-year-old Brazilian is attracting interest from around Europe. Ancelotti was the Milan manager when Silva agreed to sign for the club in December 2008, although the Italian had already left for Chelsea when the player officially joined the Rossoneri. The 52-year-old is now at PSG and remains an admirer of the Brazil international but Galliani has expressed a desire to rebuff any advances. Galliani said: "Is it true Ancelotti asked me about Thiago? Absolutely yes. "If we only thought about money, the best thing would be to sell Thiago but we don't make such considerations. "We will do the best we possibly can to resist. We have a great president who loves Milan and wants to keep all of our great players."
