West Bromwich Albion defender Jonas Olsson says he is in no rush to sign a new deal at the club.

The Sweden international wants to concentrate on the European Championship before considering whether to commit his future to the Hawthorns beyond the end of next season.

And despite declaring himself "very happy" at the club, the 29-year-old admits that he has to decide whether to stay.

"I'm very grateful for being given the chance to play here, and whether my future lies here or elsewhere is something I have to discuss with the club," he said.

Jonas Olsson Quotes of the week

"The thing in my mind is finishing off the season well with Albion and then prepare as good as possible for the Euros.

No rush

"Will I like talks before the summer? No. I want to focus on the Euros first. For me, there is no rush. It's not like my contract is expiring this year. I still have another year

"I've been speaking with [West Brom technical director] Dan Ashworth, throughout the season, and we're going to keep doing that.

"Like any contract discussion, there are a few pieces more that need to fit in. It is an on-going process, and we'll see where we are, come the summer."
