Nick Powell: Stayed with Crewe
Crewe boss Steve Davis has revealed his delight that he was able to keep hold of prized starlet Nick Powell and Max Clayton.
Both Crewe youngsters were linked with big-money moves in January, but a bid for neither was forthcoming.
And Davis was delighted that he would be able to count on both players for the rest of the season.
"That big offer we couldn't refuse didn't come in before the deadline," said Davis.
"Of course, I was pleased to have kept the likes of Nick (Powell) and Max (Clayton) because I think we have a good squad here.
"I want to develop that and keep this group together as much as I can."
