Japan international Keisuke Honda is determined to win a move to Lazio from CSKA Moscow before the transfer window closes.
The clubs are currently locked in negotiations over the 25-year-old, who spent a season with VVV-Venlo before moving to Russia.
Honda is not worried about his situation as he knows it might take until late on in the window to seal his Serie A switch.
The Japanese playmaker is fully aware of the defensive ability in Italy's top flight and he is relishing breaking down opposing defences.
"I want to go to Lazio," he told Nikkan Sports. "I'm confident over my transfer.
"The clubs are in the final phase of negotiations, but I've have not found an agreement yet with the club.
"In today's football world everything can happen in the last hour of the market window.
"My will is to go playing in the Italian championship.
"It isn't the best of the world and its level is down compared to the past, but it's one of the most difficult places as an attacking player."
