Adel Taarabt has indicated that he could now be prepared to stay at Queens Park Rangers after Mark Hughes became manager, while he has backed the decision to dismiss Neil Warnock.
Taarabt flourished under Warnock in the Championship last season but has not been able to replicate that form this term and was resigned to leaving Loftus Road during the current transfer window.
However, Warnock's sacking earlier this month has forced Taarabt to reassess the situation, and he is now looking forward to holding talks with Hughes.
He is excited about what the future may hold for QPR after voicing his opinion that it was probably the right time for Warnock to go.
"I think we needed that," said Taarabt, who is currently in Gabon with Morocco's Africa Cup of Nations squad. "I had good years with Neil Warnock but we were in a bad position."

Saturday's win over Wigan hauled QPR out of the Premier League relegation zone and Taarabt believes Hughes can make a big difference at the club.
Taarabt, who was linked with Paris St Germain last summer, added: "I think if Mark Hughes was not coming in, maybe I was leaving in January.
"I spoke with the chairman and the situation now has changed. They want to keep me and we're going to have a discussion when we come back.
"Mark Hughes is a great manager and I think the chairman is giving him money so he's buying players.
"I'm going to meet him and see what's going to happen."
