Sky Sports understands Leicester have signed Manchester United midfielder Danny Drinkwater.
As exclusively revealed by
skysports.com on Thursday, Leicester have moved to bring the highly-rated Drinkwater to the King Power Stadium.
Drinkwater had been on loan at Barnsley, but Leicester have moved to sign the 21-year-old on a permanent basis.
United cut short his loan spell at Barnsley after agreeing a fee with Leicester and he has now signed a three-and-a-half year deal with the Foxes.
Drinkwater has impressed during his loan spell at Barnsley and Leicester boss Nigel Pearson has moved quickly to tie up a deal for the playmaker.
Drinkwater is expected to go straight into the Leicester squad for Monday's clash at Championship leaders Southampton.
