Peterborough forward agrees loan deal

Scunthorpe United have confirmed the signing of Nicky Ajose on loan from Peterborough. Skysports.com revealed that both Scunthorpe and Bury were looking to land Ajose, who has just returned to full fitness. The forward injured his hamstring just half an hour into Posh's opening game of the season and he has been sidelined since. Now the London Road club have agreed to let him leave on loan, with both Bury and Scunthorpe making moves. Ajose has now opted to join Alan Knill's Iron for three months and will be available to make his debut against Yeovil on Saturday. "We are prepared to let him go because he needs some games," said Peterborough's director of football Barry Fry. "We don't have enough reserve team matches and with only five substitutes now allowed, we can't guarantee him enough action."
