Pascal Feindouno has turned down a contract at Celtic following a recent trial with the SPL club.

Winger hopes to find new club in January transfer window

Pascal Feindouno has revealed he has turned down a contract at Celtic following a recent trial with the SPL club. The Guinea winger had been training with Neil Lennon's side after he was released by Qatar club Al-Sadd last month. However, he was unable to agree terms to join the Bhoys and has now returned to Qatar to await further offers ahead of the transfer window reopening. Feindouno told skysports.com: "I enjoyed the training at Celtic, they are a great club with some good players, but I couldn't accept their offer at this point. "I'm back in Qatar training and hoping to get something in a top league in Europe soon." The 29-year-old former St Etienne attacker joined Al-Sadd for £6.5million in 2008 after he had been linked with Premier League giants Liverpool. West Brom are among the clubs to have recently been linked with Feindouno and, with the transfer window due to open, he is confident he will find a suitable club. He added: "I understand a number of clubs across Europe are interested in me. "I hope to join a club playing in one of the European competitions. I am open to offers."
