Carlisle defender Danny Livesey has been ruled out for three months after sustaining a groin injury in training.
The 25-year-old limped out of the session last Monday and scans have confirmed that the former Bolton man will be sidelined for up to 12 weeks.
Livesey is closing in on 200 league starts for the Brunton Park outfit having been a virtual ever-present last season for the north west side.
Meanwhile, striker Jason Price is back in training after missing Tuesday's trip to Workington with a slight calf problem.
