Jeff vs Ed

Presenters Jeff Stelling and Ed Chamberlin go head-to-head in this week's Super 6 challenge.

Jeff Stelling expert opinion

Sky Sports presenters Jeff Stelling and Ed Chamberlin go head-to-head in this week's Super 6 challenge.

Sky Sports Soccer Saturday host Jeff Stelling racked up a fairly decent nine points in his Super 6 entry last week, comfortably beating Soccer AM counterpart Helen Chamberlain. Jeff predicted one correct score (five points) and two correct results (four points) in the free-to-play online game while Helen managed just one correct score from the six featured games. This week, Jeff is up against Monday Night Football presenter Ed Chamberlin and the pair have predicted four matching results but just once identical correct score. There are four Premier League games and two Sky Bet Championship encounters featured as Super 6 returns to its normal format following last week's £1million jackpot, which unfortunately went begging. Four users went agonisingly close to becoming a millionaire, but normal service resumes this Saturday and a jackpot of £250,000 for six correct scores is not to be sniffed at. As usual, Jeff and his colleagues are on hand to offer some inspiration, and the Hartlepool fan is backing Liverpool to earn a narrow 1-0 home win over Southampton. Ed also tips a narrow home win for the Reds but reckons the Saints will score in a 2-1 defeat and Sky Bet offer 5/2 on the Reds winning by a one-goal margin. They're in disagreement over proceedings at St James' Park, though, with Jeff predicting a 1-1 draw between Newcastle and Hull compared to Ed's 2-0 guess in favour of the hosts. Both men see a home win for West Brom over Sunderland with Jeff going 2-0 to Ed's 1-0, while they each reckon West Ham will struggle to beat Everton at home. With Roberto Martinez having secured his first Premier League win as Toffees boss last Saturday, Jeff is backing them for a 2-1 win at Upton Park while Ed is sitting on the fence, predicting a goalless draw. Doncaster against Nottingham Forest is one of the two Sky Bet Championship games and the boys have both backed Forest for a 2-1 away win. Meanwhile, table toppers QPR are at Yeovil and have been backed to win by a two-goal margin, a 4/1 chance with Sky Bet, with Jeff going 2-0 compared to Ed's prediction of 3-1.
