UEFA president Michel Platini has added his voice to the calls for the report into possible World Cup bidding corruption to be made public.

FIFA's ethics investigator Michael Garcia, a US attorney, has already said it is "necessary" for FIFA's executive committee to authorise the publication of his report into alleged corruption and claims of rule-breaking in the bids for the 2018 and 2022 World Cups, which were awarded to Russia and Qatar respectively.

The judge in charge of issuing sanctions, Hans-Joachim Eckert, said last week he would not publish the report.

However, there is a growing clamour for the report to be published, with FIFA presidential candidate Jerome Champagne also joining the list of influential people calling for its publication, following on from a trio of FIFA vice-presidents - Prince Ali of Jordan, Jim Boyce and Jeffrey Webb.

Platini's office have told Sky Sports News HQ that he is in favour of disclosing as much of the report as possible.

The FIFA executive committee is meeting on Thursday and Friday, although at the moment the Garcia report is not on the agenda.
