One Super 6 player is £100,000 richer after landing the jackpot by predicting six correct World Cup scores, culminating with Argentina v Switzerland remaining 0-0 after 90 minutes.

Having only been won twice in the first five years of the game's existence, this is the third time in 12 months that all six correct scores have been predicted correctly.

Eighty entrants were in with a chance of winning the Super 6 jackpot heading into the last of the selected World Cup fixtures, having also predicted full-time scores of: Brazil 1 Chile 1, Colombia 2 Uruguay 0, Costa Rica 1 Greece 1, Holland 2 Mexico 1 and France 2 Nigeria 0.

The free-to-play prediction game has enjoyed a remarkable rise in popularity over the last season, with over two million entrants and a peak of over 739,000 during the £1million jackpot round back in October.

Sky Bet were left breathing a sigh of relief after confirming the player in question had not followed up their predictions with a correct score accumulator of the six games, which would have paid 331397/1.

Super 6’s Joe Mirtaheri said: "We’ve been left licking our wounds once again after a remarkable third win, as another player celebrates conquering a challenge which some considered virtually impossible.

"However, it’s great for the game and we just hope it will encourage more football fans to have a go, starting with the first weekend of the Sky Bet Football League season on August 9."
