Steven Fletcher could be open to ending his international exile if asked to return by Scotland manager Craig Levein.
The Sunderland striker has not played for his country since informing Levein by text message that he did not want to be involved in a friendly against Northern Ireland last year.
Levein recently stated that he would not consider Fletcher having heard nothing from the striker, with the boss previously leaving the door open to the 25-year-old.
However, in response to a fan who asked on Twitter, "would you pull on your Scotland jersey next month if Craig Levein asked you to come back?", Fletcher responded by saying "yes".
Fletcher has scored three times in two games for Sunderland since joining the Black Cats for £12million in August.
Scotland have had a lacklustre start to their 2014 World Cup qualifying campaign, drawing both games at Hampden Park, 0-0 with Serbia and 1-1 with Macedonia.
The former Hibernian, Burnley and Wolves striker has scored once in eight international appearances for Scotland.
