Honduras boss expects tough test against Del Bosque's side

Honduras boss Reinaldo Rueda expects to be on the receiving end of a Spanish backlash on Monday. The Central American nation know they must take something from their meeting with the reigning European champions to keep their World Cup dream alive. A 1-0 defeat to Chile in their opening encounter has left them with a mountain to climb, and they know it. Spain were always going to be formidable opponents in Group H, but they have become an even bigger threat after stumbling out of the blocks. A shock 1-0 setback against Switzerland in their first game means they will be desperate to make amends in their latest outing.

Intensity

Honduras find themselves in the firing line, and coach Rueda admits he is expecting a tough afternoon in Johannesburg. He said: "We should not be distracted by the result. As one of the favourites and having lost their first game, Spain will be even more determined. "We rate Spain as highly after that match as we did before it. This result does not change our valuation of Spain and their qualities. "That result means they will face us with greater intensity. We cannot let ourselves be distracted by that result. "We cannot think the game will be easy. On the contrary, for me it will be more difficult."
