Uruguay's Diego Lugano has cautioned World Cup group rivals France to expect a strong display from his side.
Oscar Tabarez's squad are currently training in Kimberley ahead of their Group A opener against Les Bleus in South Africa on Friday.
And Lugano insists Uruguay will enter the Cape Town clash at the top of their game.
"We will arrive to the game against France in our best form," said Lugano.
"We will see how far we can go in the competition but we are calm because we have worked well in training and we are ready."
Uruguay will also face tournament hosts South Africa and Mexico in the group stage, and Lugano believes they could not be any better prepared.
"Our conscience is clear," he added. "We have done everything possible to arrive to this game in the best possible condition."
