Former Chelsea winger Florent Malouda is poised to join ex-Brazil international Roberto Carlos at Indian Super League (ISL) side Delhi Dynamos, Sky sources understand.

Ex-Real Madrid and Inter full-back Carlos, 42, was named player-manager of the Delhi franchise earlier this week after several weeks of negotiations.

Malouda could be seen as an alternative to former Liverpool full-back John Arne Riise, who has been at the centre of a tug-of-war between Delhi and fellow ISL side Kerala Blasters.

If Malouda completes the move to Delhi he is likely to line up against former Chelsea and France team-mate Nicolas Anelka who was handed the managerial reigns at Mumbai City FC last week.

Anelka is also Mumbai's marquee player and turned out for the Maharashtra side in last year's inaugural ISL, scoring two goals in seven appearances.
