Wahbi Khazri's late equaliser for Bordeaux denied Metz a precious victory and kept them in deep relegation trouble in Ligue 1.

Eight points adrift of the safety line at the start of play, Metz were on course to pick up three when Ferjani Sassi gave them a first-half lead.

But Khazri's 30-yard free-kick in the 83rd minute denied them and the gap remained at eight points, with Bastia beating fellow strugglers Evian to pull away.

Bastia did their hopes of staying in France's top flight the power of good on Saturday evening with a 2-1 come-from-behind triumph at fellow strugglers Evian.

Eighteen-year-old Guinea striker Francois Kamano grabbed both goals, the winner two minutes from time, as the visitors moved three points clear of their hosts.

Gilles Sunu had given Evian the lead just before half-time, but defeat saw them slip into the relegation zone with four games left.

Guingamp moved six points clear of the relegation zone with a vital 2-0 win away at fellow strugglers Caen.

Claudio Beauvue had the visitors ahead just after the break with a fortuitous lob and Sylvain Marveaux put the result beyond doubt with a second goal midway through the second half.

While the result afforded Guingamp some breathing space with four games of the season remaining, it left Caen just a single point above the drop zone.

Toulouse missed the chance to pull further away from the relegation zone as Alejandro Bedoya's late goal earned Nantes a 1-1 draw at the Stadium Municipal.

New Toulouse boss Dominique Arribage appeared to be on course for a fourth victory in five matches when Adrien Regattin scored in superb style midway through the first half but Bedoya headed home in the dying stages to ensure a share of the spoils.

The draw leaves 14th-placed Toulouse a mere two points clear of the relegation zone with four games to go, while Nantes remain in 10th place some seven points clear of the bottom three.

Rennes claimed a last-gasp victory 2-1 victory over Nice thanks to Anders Konradsen's late goal.

It was Nice that took the lead midway through the first-half when Eric Bautheac converted Plea's cross home from close range.

However, Rennes hit back within minutes of the restart as Sanjin Prcic’s shot beat Simon Pouplin to level the scores.

And it was Rennes who grabbed three points as Konradsen scored the winner in the final minute to move the hosts to within a point of eighth placed Lille.

Ezequiel Lavezzi scored a hat-trick as Paris St Germain stated their title credentials loud and clear with a 6-1 demolition of Lille.

Goals from Maxwell and Edinson Cavani inside the first four minutes set the scene and Lavezzi struck twice before half-time to make the game safe.

Marko Basa pulled one back but Cavani's penalty and another Lavezzi strike rounded off a win that lifts PSG three points ahead of Lyon, who play Reims on Sunday.
