FC United of Manchester secured promotion to the Conference North after defeating Stourbridge 1-0 on Tuesday night to claim the Evo-Stik Premier Division title.
The club, formed 10 years ago in protest at the takeover of Manchester United by American businessman Malcolm Glazer, will start next season just two divisions below the Football League.
FC United are also due to move into their purpose-built, 5,000-capacity Broadhurst Park Stadium next season having been forced to ground-share since their formation.
Karl Marginson’s side spurned a number of chances to score against Stourbridge before Greg Daniels finally scored on 69 minutes.
That proved enough to secure promotion in front of a record crowd of 3,588 at the Tameside Ground they share with Curzon Athletic after seven seasons in their current division.
FC United will be in the same division as former Football League side Stockport County next season.
