Scott Sinclair has confirmed he would welcome the opportunity to join Aston Villa on a permanent basis over the summer.
The 26-year-old joined on loan from Manchester City in January and has played his part in their improvement under Tim Sherwood.
Sinclair has scored three goals in 10 games, including two in three matches as part of an FA Cup run that has seen them reach next month’s final with Arsenal at Wembley.
The player is yet to hold talks with Sherwood over his future at Villa Park but he is keen to remain there for an extended period.
"Definitely, I feel at home at Villa, it's a great club, I'm sure at the end of the season we can sit down and I can sign," he said when asked about his future.
"I just have to wait until the end of the season."
Sinclair is ruled out of Saturday's game with parent club City at the Etihad Stadium but has little future under Manuel Pellegrini having started just three times since moving from Swansea in 2012.
In contrast, he has become a key part of Villa's midfield alongside Fabian Delph and believes the skipper is becoming one of the Premier League's most influential players.
"I think when you are playing every week you go into a place where you get more confident and that's what he's done,” added Sinclair.
"He's stayed here, signed a new contract and this is his home. He is performing every week and every week he is improving."
