Bury have revealed they will let in fans for free at their rearranged game with Southend.

The Shakers will allow every supporter in to Gigg Lane without charge when they host the Shrimpers following Saturday's postponed match. The game was called off due to heavy rain after just six minutes, with the club insisting the abandonment could cost them up to £9,000. A new date for the League Two clash has been arranged for Tuesday, April 21 and Bury confirmed it will be free entry. A club statement read: "To make the rescheduled game a lot easier to manage on the night, it has been decided that ALL entry to both home and away fans will be free of charge. "There will be no need to produce any ticket or voucher and we welcome everyone to come and support the team. "For any fans that cannot attend, please bring their ticket/voucher and we will gladly issues a flexi ticket so they can attend any game this season or next to allow them the flexibility of being able to attend. "As a club we still have the financial costs relating to the rescheduled game and will also be liable for the costs that Southend will incur for the extra travel. The total cost to the club for the abandonment could be as much as £9,000." The club will hold a bucket collection to support their academy's trip to Holland at the game. Bury are fourth in League Two, seven points adrift of the automatic promotion spots with a game in hand, while Southend are a further four points behind in fifth.
