Atletico Madrid's Arda Turan lost his cool – and his boot – in his side's Copa del Rey quarter-final tie with Barcelona.
The midfielder had a moment of madness in the 47th minute when his boot came off during a clash with Dani Alves and was seemingly incensed he was not awarded a free-kick.
As you can see in the video above, Turan picked up his shoe and launched it in the direction of the assistant referee – and was promptly booked for his outburst.
Atletico were already down to 10 men following a red card for Gabi during the half-time interval and they were trailing 4-2 on aggregate at the time.
The poor discipline continued as Mario Suarez was sent off six minutes from the end of the match for a second bookable offence.
After sealing a place in the semi-finals, Barcelona coach Luis Enrique insisted he had to substitute Neymar in the 77th minute to prevent him from being injured.
Atletico coach Diego Simeone refused to criticise his team afterwards, saying: "I feel proud of my players. In the first-half they were extraordinary and showed an incredible fight."
