Eredivisie Review: Ajax keep pace with leaders PSV as both sides record wins

PSV Eindhoven retained their four-point lead in the Eredivisie despite free-scoring wins for their nearest pursuers.

Goals in the last minute of each half, from Luuk de Jong and Karim Rekik respectively, earned PSV a 2-1 win away to Heracles, who had led through Bryan Linssen's 29th-minute strike.

Second-placed Ajax won 4-2 at Cambuur Leeuwarden despite their hosts bookending the scoring.

Sebastien Steblecki's second-minute opener was rendered irrelevant by Arkadiusz Milik's double and goals from Davy Klaassen and Anwar El Ghazi before Bart Ogbeche cut the deficit late on.

FC Twente moved third, seven points off the lead but ahead of Feyenoord on goal difference, after a dominant 4-0 win at Dordrecht in which all the goals came in the first half.

Hakim Ziyech and Andreas Bjelland had already put the visitors two up before a self-destructive two minutes for Dordrecht saw Funso Ojo put through his own goal before Ilias Haddad was sent off.

Youness Mokhtar completed the scoring a minute before the interval.

Feyenoord were held to a goalless draw by Vitesse Arnhem in the day's other game.
