Bordeaux moved up to third, level on points with last season's Ligue 1 champions Paris St Germain, after a 2-1 win at struggling Lens on Saturday.

Wahbi Khazri opened the scoring midway through the first half for the visitors before Cheick Diabate doubled their advantage just before the break.

Yoann Touzghar reduced the arrears with a second-half penalty, but Bordeaux were worthy winners as they moved onto 24 points, with seven wins from 13 matches.

Second-placed PSG play league leaders Marseille on Sunday, where the champions will look to take a sizeable chunk out of the four-point gap between the teams.

Fifth-placed Nantes extended their unbeaten league run to eight games with a 2-1 comeback win at Caen, keeping them one point behind PSG and Bordeaux.

Mathieu Duhamel put the home side in front after 23 minutes but Oscar Vizcarrondo and Jordan Veretout struck either side of half-time to ensure Nantes maintained their push on the European places.

At the other end of the table, Evian and Bastia both moved out of the relegation zone with victories.

Evian climbed off the foot of the standings and up to 16th after ending a three-game losing run with a 1-0 victory over Nice, Denmark international Daniel Wass' deciding the match with a superb free-kick 14 minutes from time.

Bastia, meanwhile, are in 15th spot after a first-half Gadji Tallo brace earned them a 2-0 win over Montpellier at the Stade Armand Cesari

Also on Saturday, Toulouse halted a four-game winless run in all competitions as goals from Pantxi Sirieix, Wissam Ben Yedder and Aleksandar Pesic gave them a 3-0 win over Metz.
