Norwich were "worthy winners " after seeing off Bolton to end a five-game winless streak, according to manager Neil Adams.
The Canaries have struggled to get the job done over recent weeks and had not won at home in the league since August 19, but were back on song in beating Wanderers 2-1.
Cameron Jerome scored both of their goals with Chung-Yong Lee setting up a tense finale, but that proved to be nothing more than a consolation.
It was a deserved win, but one that has been coming, Adams said.
"I think we were worthy winners and I said to the players: 'A lot has been made of the last five games but we have played better (than this) and lost or drawn'," he told Sky Sports.
"I thought we looked sharp and lively and could have had more. Bolton scored a late goal to give us butterflies, but I think we were value for money.
"A win is a win and I think we deserved it."
After such a long streak a 12th-minute opener from Jerome was a welcome, even if Adams did not entirely acknowledge as much.
"I thought a big thing was made of it (poor starts)," he said.
"It does make it easier for you, we scored that goal and it relaxed the crowd. But Bolton need credit. They had a lot of the ball and we had to defend. I thought we were excellent and yes, we want to attack and score, but sometimes you have to win when teams come at you."
Two-goal striker Jerome was taken off before he could go for a hat-trick, but was not concerned about personal accolades.
"The main thing is to bounce back after the last three or four weeks," he said.
"Bolton came and had a go, every team that's come here has made it difficult for us and got behind the ball.
"It's good to get two goals but I will get the hat-trick when I get it."
